The Grand Mufti highlighted to PM Modi the issues raised by individuals from diverse societal segments during his recent Kerala tour themed “With Humanity.”
Furthermore, discussions emphasized the importance of inclusive development that caters to all communities, focusing not only on economic growth but also on happiness indices and human development. The fair allocation of resources based on population distribution and regional equilibrium was also underscored. Concerns regarding Waqf matters, SIR, the preservation of historic mosques and Islamic heritage sites were addressed during the meeting.
The conversation also touched upon the reinstatement of minority educational welfare programs like the Maulana Azad National Fellowship and the establishment of the Aligarh University Malappuram Centre. The Grand Mufti stressed the necessity for enhanced collaboration between the Central government and minority groups nationwide.
