The Sansad Khel Mahotsav 2025, a grassroots sports initiative, is being conducted nationwide across Lok Sabha constituencies. PM Modi highlighted the confidence and strength of India’s youth in various fields, including sports, startups, space, and science. He expressed government support for athletes through the Sansad Khel Pratiyogita, providing a platform for showcasing talent and playing sports.
PM Modi described the Sansad Khel Mahotsav as a people’s movement, involving diverse sections of society from cities to villages. He commended the event’s inclusiveness, offering opportunities to a wide range of athletes, including differently-abled individuals. The Prime Minister emphasized the unlimited opportunities in Indian sports today, enabling children from all backgrounds to excel and reach great heights at a young age.
India’s aspirations to host major international sporting events like the 2030 Commonwealth Games in Ahmedabad and the 2036 Olympics were also discussed by PM Modi. He urged MPs to support grassroots sports and nurture young talents who can represent India on the global stage. The Sansad Khel Mahotsav 2025, which began on September 21, has witnessed extensive participation in sporting competitions across regions and is set to conclude soon.
