PM Modi Extends Greetings on West Bengal Day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent warm wishes to the people of West Bengal on Paschimbanga Divas, expressing prayers for the state’s progress and its residents’ prosperity. He highlighted West Bengal’s significant historical role in shaping India across various fields like literature, music, art, spirituality, science, and social reform. PM Modi emphasized the importance of June 20 in West Bengal’s history, commemorating the day that solidified the state’s integration into India, crediting Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee for his invaluable contribution.

PM Modi assured collaboration between the central government and West Bengal to fulfill the populace’s aspirations and dreams. He reiterated his hopes for the state’s advancement and the well-being of its people. Union Home Minister Amit Shah also conveyed heartfelt greetings on West Bengal Day, acknowledging the state’s rich cultural, spiritual, and intellectual heritage. Bengal’s historical luminaries such as Swami Vivekananda, Rabindranath Tagore, and Subhash Chandra Bose were praised for their contributions to the nation-building process. Shah expressed optimism about West Bengal’s resurgence under PM Modi’s leadership, invoking blessings for the state’s populace from Maa Durga.
