Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his wishes to the citizens on the occasion of Gudi Padwa, the Marathi New Year, highlighting the festival’s relevance in India’s journey towards progress and self-reliance. He emphasized that the values represented by Gudi Padwa are crucial in guiding individuals and connecting them to their roots amidst a changing world. Gudi Padwa, marking the start of the New Year, signifies hope and new beginnings, according to the Prime Minister. He described the raising of the Gudi as a symbol of victory, prosperity, and optimism, embodying deep cultural and historical significance. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also extended his greetings for Gudi Padwa, emphasizing the importance of nurturing the essence of Maharashtra and elevating Marathi pride. Fadnavis expressed his wishes for happiness, contentment, and prosperity for everyone, urging the community to use the occasion to energize new initiatives and enhance the spirit of Maharashtra and its cultural heritage.
