Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized that India is progressing rapidly on a ‘Reform Express,’ bringing significant advantages to workers, employees, entrepreneurs, and businesses, thereby enhancing the ease of living and doing business across the nation. Speaking at the 18th edition of the Rozgar Mela virtually, PM Modi underscored that the ongoing reforms aim to enhance the ease of living and doing business. He specifically mentioned the positive impact of next-generation reforms, particularly under the Goods and Services Tax (GST), in empowering young entrepreneurs and bolstering micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
The Prime Minister highlighted that the Reform Express is dedicated to simplifying life and business operations in the country. He pointed out that the next-generation reforms in GST have been beneficial for young entrepreneurs and MSMEs, contributing to their growth and success. PM Modi also acknowledged the implementation of groundbreaking labor reforms in India, aimed at benefiting laborers, employees, and businesses by expanding social security coverage and providing enhanced protection and support to workers and employees.
PM Modi urged government officials to actively participate in advancing reforms at their respective levels, drawing attention to the importance of learning from past experiences to prevent recurring challenges. He emphasized the significance of local-level reforms in driving substantial positive outcomes and ensuring that a larger section of the population can avail the benefits of governmental initiatives. The Prime Minister stressed the need for officials to engage in small yet impactful reforms to maximize the reach and impact of government policies.
