In the digital realm, India and Indonesia launched the ION digital commerce network and agreed to collaborate on developing Indonesia-specific Electronic Voting Machines for future elections. The partnership also includes plans for integrating the Unified Payments Interface to facilitate cross-border digital payments. Additionally, agreements were reached on critical mineral supply chains and the establishment of a global campus by IIM Bengaluru in Indonesia.
President Prabowo Subianto honored PM Modi with Indonesia’s highest civilian award, recognizing Modi’s efforts in strengthening bilateral ties. The visit also saw discussions on educational cooperation, cultural ties, and India’s economic reforms.
