Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking at a public gathering in Surat, mentioned the growing discontent among the people of Karnataka towards the Congress government. He suggested that this dissatisfaction was leading to discussions within the Congress party about a change in the state’s chief ministership. PM Modi also criticized the Congress party’s political strategies and highlighted recent electoral outcomes in Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, and Punjab, where voters showed disapproval towards Congress.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the country’s preference was shifting towards stability, development, and effective governance, rejecting what he termed as uncertainty and negativity in politics. He stressed that public expectations were centered on infrastructure development, connectivity, job creation, and improved public services. PM Modi contrasted this with what he viewed as opposition parties focusing on criticism and disruption for political gains.
During his visit to Surat, PM Modi inaugurated projects worth Rs 18,800 crore and assessed industrial activities in Hazira. He underscored the importance of infrastructure initiatives like the Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway, connectivity projects in tribal regions, and investments in healthcare facilities such as a new ESIC hospital. In his closing remarks, PM Modi expressed optimism about India’s future, stating that the nation was now driven by ambition and confidence rather than pessimism. He highlighted the need for collaborative efforts between governments and citizens to achieve development goals, citing public aspirations as a key driver of national progress.
