PM Modi outlined significant reforms by the NDA government, including replacing colonial-era laws with Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. He commended Chandigarh’s smart city initiatives like the Integrated Command and Control Centre and emphasized the launch of new projects for healthcare, education, and infrastructure. These developments aim to enhance living standards not only in Chandigarh but also in neighboring states.
The Prime Minister underscored the impact of healthcare and education projects on residents of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir. He lauded the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGI) for its growth and praised the efforts of its staff. PM Modi also inaugurated key projects like the Advanced Neuroscience Centre and road infrastructure developments in the tricity region.
PM Modi’s initiatives extended to launching the country’s first 10-coach hydrogen-powered train and projects worth Rs 14,700 crore in Haryana’s Jind. He virtually inaugurated the Advanced Mother and Child Centre at PGI, designed to provide specialized healthcare services. Additionally, he laid the foundation stone for a state-of-the-art Critical Care Block under the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM) at PGI.
