Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to Rajasthan, inaugurated an integrated refinery-cum-petrochemical complex in Pachpadra, Balotra district. He highlighted India’s success in overcoming the energy crisis triggered by West Asia conflict through decisive actions and efficient resource management. PM Modi praised the country’s resilience in the face of the 21st century’s biggest energy challenge.
At the refinery, PM Modi engaged with engineers, flagged off fuel tankers, and laid the foundation stone for Jaipur Metro Phase-2 virtually. He emphasized India’s strategic decision-making and resource utilization during the crisis, preventing a significant rise in domestic cooking gas prices. The Prime Minister acknowledged the financial burden borne by oil marketing companies and the government’s efforts to stabilize prices.
PM Modi credited India’s foreign policy for ensuring uninterrupted fuel supplies amidst global disruptions, underscoring the country’s diplomatic achievements during the crisis. He commended the behind-the-scenes efforts that helped manage the situation effectively and expressed confidence that these actions would be remembered in history. The Prime Minister also highlighted the significance of the refinery project in India’s journey towards self-reliance and development.
Referring to the BJP government’s commitment to project completion, PM Modi emphasized the importance of tangible outcomes over mere announcements. He praised the swift restoration of operations at the refinery post-accident, showcasing the dedication and resolve of ‘New India.’ PM Modi also lauded the launch of various developmental projects in Rajasthan, including the new airport terminal in Jodhpur and the UDAN scheme’s new phase.
Discussing Rajasthan’s water challenges, particularly in the Shekhawati region, PM Modi assured progress in resolving these issues. He criticized the previous Congress government for neglecting the state’s water crisis and reiterated the BJP’s focus on national interests. The Prime Minister highlighted the government’s emphasis on employment generation and infrastructure development as crucial elements of India’s development vision.
