The field hospital set up by India as part of ‘Operation Amistad’ has received heartfelt appreciation from the people of Venezuela. Videos shared by the Ministry of External Affairs captured the gratitude of locals receiving treatment at the hospital. Patients expressed deep thanks for the quality medical care they received, with one resident mentioning it as the best attention she had seen in decades.
The humanitarian aid sent by India, including a Field Hospital Unit, relief supplies, medicines, and medical equipment, arrived in Venezuela on June 28. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar expressed confidence that this assistance will significantly support the ongoing post-earthquake relief efforts in the country. The Indian medical team’s selfless efforts and the support provided have been instrumental in aiding the earthquake-affected communities in Venezuela.
