Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the Jaipur Metro Rail Project Phase-2 during the Rajasthan Refinery opening in Balotra district. This project aims to enhance connectivity to Jaipur’s industrial hubs like Sitapura and VKIA, offering improved public transport in Rajasthan.
During the event, PM Modi highlighted Rajasthan’s crucial role in the nation’s progress and praised the state’s modern infrastructure development. The Jaipur Metro Phase-2 and the new Jodhpur Airport terminal are expected to further boost Rajasthan’s advancement.
Upon completion, the Jaipur Metro Phase-2 will extend the city’s metro network to over 50 km, benefiting residents and tourists. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma expressed gratitude for PM Modi’s gift of the Jaipur Metro Phase-2 project, which involves an investment exceeding Rs 13,037 crore.
The Phase-2 project will establish a 41-km North-South corridor connecting key areas like Sitapura and VKIA, facilitating efficient public transport in Jaipur. With 36 metro stations, this initiative by the Rajasthan Metro Rail Corporation Limited will enhance connectivity across the city.
