Every year on January 19, India celebrates NDRF Raising Day, commemorating the force’s formation in 2006 under the Disaster Management Act. With 16 battalions strategically placed across 68 locations in India, the NDRF plays a vital role in disaster management, conducting numerous rescue and relief operations. The force’s motto, ‘Aapada Seva Sadaiv Sarvatra’, reflects its unwavering commitment to serving in all circumstances, showcasing courage, discipline, and dedication.
