PM Modi, during his tenure as Gujarat CM, initiated projects to enhance the pilgrimage experience at Somnath. These efforts included improving cleanliness with a waste management system and expanding parking facilities. Additionally, a seaside walkway, Ocean View Promenade, and Yatradham Tourist Facilitation Centre were developed for devotees.
The pilgrimage experience was enriched by establishing a museum showcasing Hindu temple architectural styles. The aim was to ensure that devotees experience spiritual fulfillment and dignity during their visit to Somnath for darshan and rituals.
