Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with the winning Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) team from Kerala’s local body polls, expressing that Kerala is turning towards the BJP and NDA for change. He emphasized the team’s commitment to addressing people’s challenges at the grassroots level. PM Modi hosted the Kerala BJP Panchayat, Municipality, and Corporation members at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, discussing strategies to enhance the BJP’s connection with the public and promote good governance.

In the meeting, PM Modi acknowledged the hard work of BJP workers in building the party in Kerala and assured further growth in the state. He promised to campaign for the upcoming Assembly elections in Kerala, celebrating the BJP’s victory in the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation as a significant milestone. The BJP, with 50 seats in the 101-member Corporation and the support of an Independent Councillor, formed a government, marking a breakthrough in local politics.

During the interaction, PM Modi focused on Kerala’s development potential and its role in India’s progress. He stressed the importance of engaging at the grassroots level and effectively implementing Central schemes locally. The Kerala BJP representatives raised concerns about urban and rural development models, service delivery enhancement, and youth employment opportunities. PM Modi responded by underlining the significance of efficient governance, transparency, and robust public engagement.

Appreciating the dedication of party members in expanding the BJP’s presence in Kerala, PM Modi commended their efforts under challenging circumstances. The meeting concluded with a group photo and informal discussions over a shared meal. Kerala representatives found the interaction encouraging, expressing confidence in the Prime Minister’s active involvement in the upcoming Assembly campaign.
