Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Serbia’s President Aleksandar Vucic held a bilateral meeting during the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi. The Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson mentioned that the leaders gathered to discuss and enhance bilateral relations. They explored avenues to boost cooperation in various sectors such as trade, investment, artificial intelligence, fintech, education, agriculture, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.
The discussions also encompassed regional and global issues of common interest, emphasizing the enduring friendship between India and Serbia rooted in strong people-to-people connections. This high-level engagement is anticipated to reinforce strategic and economic collaboration between the two countries. The summit, hosting representatives from over 110 nations and 30 international organizations, including numerous Heads of State and ministers, aims to align AI initiatives with India’s vision of “welfare for all, happiness for all” and the global principle of AI for Humanity.
The India AI Impact Summit 2026, the fourth in its series, serves as a platform for global leaders to deliberate on the ethical, economic, and social aspects of AI. It also fosters partnerships in digital technology, culture, tourism, and maritime cooperation. The event has seen previous editions in the United Kingdom, South Korea, and France. The ongoing summit underscores international collaboration and inclusive AI-driven development, with more dignitaries expected to join the discussions.
