Prime Minister Narendra Modi commended India’s youth accomplishments under the theme ’12 Years of Yuva Shakti’, emphasizing the government’s dedication to youth-led progress and fostering opportunities for their aspirations. Highlighting initiatives like Startup India, Digital India, Skill India, and the Atal Innovation Mission, PM Modi lauded the ecosystem promoting innovation and entrepreneurship. He acknowledged the significant contributions of Indian youth in sectors like science, technology, manufacturing, space exploration, semiconductors, and drones.
India has witnessed a transformative journey over the past 12 years with a focus on inclusive development and empowerment through flagship programs benefiting the underprivileged, farmers, women, and youth. Noteworthy schemes like PM Mudra Yojana, PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana, and PM Kaushal Vikas Yojana have facilitated entrepreneurship, skill development, and employment opportunities for millions of young Indians. The government’s support has led to the growth of over 2.2 lakh startups, creating more than 23 lakh jobs and fostering a culture of innovation and self-reliance.
Under the PM-SETU scheme, Rs 60,000 crore has been allocated for modernizing 1,000 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) to equip youth with industry-ready skills. With a surge in youth-driven initiatives and government backing, India is experiencing a new phase of growth, innovation, and self-sufficiency.
