He highlighted the tea’s natural goodness and its role in empowering women towards self-reliance. PM Modi emphasized the cultural significance of tea in India, stating that it symbolizes togetherness in various social settings.
The herbal tea, crafted by women of a Self-Help Group in Lakhiwala village, contains ingredients like lemongrass, Giloy, Mulethi (liquorice), Tulsi, raw turmeric, cinnamon, cardamom, and fennel seeds. Its unique taste and qualities have gained popularity among consumers, receiving acclaim at events like the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj and the International Food Festival in Delhi.
Starting with an initial investment of just one lakh rupees, the venture has now expanded its reach to major institutions nationwide. PM Modi highlighted the success story as a testament to the transformative power of combining local knowledge, natural resources, and women’s self-confidence.
