Prime Minister Narendra Modi commended the significant contribution of young workers, particularly women from remote and tribal areas, to India’s semiconductor sector. He expressed pride in their dedication and highlighted their specialized training for semiconductor manufacturing. PM Modi emphasized the importance of these workers in advancing India’s semiconductor industry, describing his interaction with them as a memorable experience.

During his visit to the CG Semi Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facility in Sanand, PM Modi engaged with employees, including a young woman who shared her transformative journey. She revealed how her employment at the semiconductor plant had shattered stereotypes in her village about women pursuing higher education. Another employee from Jammu and Kashmir expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work at CG Semi, emphasizing the positive impact on her self-reliance and career growth.

The Prime Minister’s conversations with workers reflected their resilience and determination to succeed in a traditionally male-dominated field. He acknowledged their achievements and the role of facilities like CG Semi in empowering youth and fostering skill development. The CG Semi OSAT facility, inaugurated by PM Modi, signifies a significant step towards enhancing India’s semiconductor capabilities and promoting a self-sufficient semiconductor ecosystem.
