Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi, praying for the happiness and health of the citizens. He participated in traditional rituals and offered prayers to Lord Shiva, Goddess Annapurna, and Goddess Ganga.
During his visit, PM Modi received a warm welcome and performed rituals seeking blessings. He was gifted a ‘Trishul’ and ‘Damru’ by the temple administration. The crowd cheered as he greeted everyone with ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and ‘Om Namah Shivaya’.
Later in the day, PM Modi inaugurated the Ganga Expressway in Hardoi, a 594-kilometre-long, 6-lane access-controlled corridor costing around Rs 36,230 crore. The expressway aims to reduce travel time and boost economic development in Uttar Pradesh.
The Ganga Expressway project includes an Emergency Landing Facility in Shahjahanpur district, enhancing national security. It is expected to reduce logistics costs, improve supply chain efficiency, and provide better market access for farmers. The expressway will also boost tourism and generate employment opportunities across the region.
