Following the 77th Republic Day parade, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared highlights from the Kartavya Path, emphasizing India’s democracy and national pride. The event featured a display of India’s military prowess, showcasing indigenous weaponry and battlefield formations of the Indian Army in a ‘Battle Array’ format. Cultural performances and tableaus added to the historic celebrations at Kartavya Path.

In his posts, PM Modi expressed pride in India’s Republic Day celebrations, highlighting the unity, democracy, and heritage displayed during the parade. He commended the security apparatus showcased, reflecting India’s preparedness and commitment to safeguarding its citizens. The parade offered insights into the strengthening capabilities of India’s security forces, a source of national pride.

The day began with PM Modi paying tribute to fallen soldiers at the National War Memorial, honoring their sacrifices. Following the parade, he interacted with attendees at Kartavya Path, breaking protocol by walking among the crowd. The enthusiastic audience greeted him with cheers, chants of ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai,’ and children climbing on chairs to catch a glimpse.

Continuing his tradition, PM Modi wore a distinctive red tie-and-dye turban with golden peacock feathers, a hallmark of his Republic Day celebrations. He engaged with the crowd, crossing to the other side of Kartavya Path, where people captured the moment with photographs. This gesture of connecting with the public reflects PM Modi’s ongoing practice since 2015.
