Prime Minister Narendra Modi informed Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy that if Telangana receives the same assistance from the Centre as Gujarat did during the Congress rule, it would only get half of its current aid. This statement was made during an event in Hyderabad where projects worth Rs 9,400 crore were launched. Revanth Reddy had requested liberal assistance from the Centre for Telangana, citing the support Gujarat received during the Congress era.

PM Modi expressed readiness to provide Telangana with the same support as Gujarat had received during the Congress rule. However, he cautioned that this might result in a reduction in the state’s current aid. He emphasized the importance of state development for national progress and assured Telangana of continued rapid development under the Central government’s initiatives. The Prime Minister highlighted the significant increase in Telangana’s railway budget post the state’s bifurcation from Andhra Pradesh in 2014.

During the event in Hyderabad, PM Modi inaugurated projects worth Rs 9,400 crore, including the Malkapur Terminal Project by Indian Oil. He stressed the significance of energy security and the need for restrained use of imported energy products to conserve foreign exchange reserves. The Prime Minister also emphasized the importance of using petrol, diesel, and gas judiciously to address global energy challenges. PM Modi acknowledged Cyberabad’s role in national and global development, emphasizing the launch of projects to enhance Telangana’s manufacturing capabilities.

Inaugurating the Zaheerabad Industrial Area under the Hyderabad-Nagpur Industrial Corridor, PM Modi highlighted India’s progress in infrastructure development and reforms. He emphasized the establishment of world-class infrastructure in industrial smart cities to attract global investors. The Prime Minister virtually inaugurated the PM MITRA Park in Warangal, aiming to boost the textile industry and leverage government schemes for industrial growth. PM Modi also underscored the Central government’s focus on enhancing national connectivity through significant investments in roads, railways, and airports.

PM Modi laid the foundation stone for the four-laning of National Highway-167 and dedicated key railway projects in Telangana, including the Kazipet-Vijayawada multi-tracking project. These initiatives underscore the government’s commitment to modern connectivity and infrastructure development in the state.
