Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to distribute more than 61,000 appointment letters to newly appointed youth in various government departments and organizations during the 18th Rozgar Mela. The event will be conducted at 45 locations across the country, with candidates joining ministries like Home Affairs, Health & Family Welfare, Financial Services, and Higher Education.
The Rozgar Mela initiative aligns with the Prime Minister’s focus on employment generation, with over 11 lakh recruitment letters issued since its inception. The 17th Rozgar Mela, held previously at 40 locations, saw the distribution of more than 51,000 appointment letters to selected youth for Central government jobs in October 2025.
Appointments in various departments such as Posts, Railways, Home Affairs, Health and Family Welfare, Higher Education, and Financial Services were made during the recent round. Additionally, opportunities in Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) like PGCIL, HPCL, CIL, GAIL, and ONGC were also offered to the newly recruited candidates.
The appointees will undergo training through ‘Karmayogi Prarambh’, an online module on the iGOT Karmayogi portal, offering over 3,600 e-learning courses for foundational training. The Rozgar Melas, initiated by the Prime Minister in October 2022, aim to boost employment opportunities and empower the youth for nation-building efforts.
