Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to conduct a high-profile roadshow in Kanyakumari district on Wednesday, as part of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s campaign for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. He will arrive in Thiruvananthapuram by special flight and then proceed to Nagercoil by helicopter.
The roadshow will commence at the Armed Forces Ground, with PM Modi traveling by road to Vepamoodu Junction to kick off the event at approximately 4:30 p.m. The designated one-kilometer route from Vepamoodu Junction to the MGR statue at Vadasery will host the roadshow.
During the roadshow, Prime Minister Modi will ride in an open vehicle, engaging with the public and seeking support for the BJP and NDA alliance candidates contesting in Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, and Tenkasi districts. Notable leaders such as Tamil Nadu BJP President Nainar Nagenthran and AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami are expected to participate in the program.
The BJP has made extensive arrangements for the visit, including setting up barricades along the route for crowd control and ensuring the safety of the public. Thousands of BJP supporters from Kanyakumari district and neighboring areas are anticipated to attend, underscoring the event’s importance in the NDA’s campaign strategy.
After the roadshow, PM Modi will return to the Armed Forces Ground before flying back to Thiruvananthapuram and departing for New Delhi. This visit holds significance as political parties intensify their campaign efforts in the lead-up to the polls, with prominent campaigners like PM Modi playing a pivotal role in influencing voter outreach across Tamil Nadu.
