Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the India AI Impact Summit from February 15 to February 20, where he will interact with global tech leaders. The summit will also feature a gala dinner hosted by the Prime Minister for the visiting tech executives. Notable global CEOs like Bill Gates, Dario Amodei, Demis Hassabis, Shantanu Narayen, and Marc Benioff are expected to participate, with Jensen Huang also likely to attend.
India has extended an invitation to China to participate in the summit, aiming to promote the concept of “democratising AI” on a global scale. The event anticipates representatives from over 100 countries, with invitations already dispatched to approximately 140 nations. The summit will witness the presence of more than 100 AI leaders, comprising CEOs, CXOs, and chief scientists, in its main sessions.
The AI Impact Expo will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi on February 16, followed by a gala dinner for global tech leaders on February 18. The formal opening ceremony is slated for February 19, where the Prime Minister is expected to partake in a leaders’ plenary session and a CEO roundtable. Additionally, a ministerial meeting of the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence is scheduled for February 20, bringing together policymakers from various countries.
The summit will also see the participation of Cristiano Amon and Raj Subramaniam, alongside numerous global tech founders and academics. Over 50 CEOs and founders, along with 100 senior academics, have confirmed their attendance. Preceding the main summit, an innovation festival will kick off on February 15 at Central Park in Connaught Place, showcasing creative and social applications of artificial intelligence. Throughout the summit week, around 800 parallel AI-related events are expected nationwide, with an estimated attendance of over 1.5 lakh individuals.
