Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to convene with senior BJP leaders in Chennai on Saturday to discuss strategies for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. The meeting, scheduled at a hotel in Guindy at 11 a.m., will focus on election planning, coordination with alliance partners, and enhancing the party’s electoral performance in the state.
As campaigning intensifies for the Puducherry Assembly elections on April 9, where the NDA is contesting, PM Modi recently conducted a roadshow in Puducherry to bolster support for NDA candidates. Following his campaign, he returned to Chennai and engaged in informal discussions with key BJP leaders and alliance representatives.
The strategy meeting on Saturday will see the participation of top leaders such as Union Minister Piyush Goyal, Tamil Nadu BJP President Nainar Nagenthran, and others. PM Modi is expected to emphasize the need for surpassing previous election results and strengthening grassroots mobilization efforts.
The meeting is anticipated to last until around noon, after which PM Modi will meet with leaders from alliance parties and candidates contesting in Chennai constituencies. This visit, focused on internal consultations, does not include a public roadshow in Chennai as part of his tour.
