Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a two-day visit to West Bengal, commencing on Saturday. In preparation for his visit, PM Modi took to social media in Bengali to outline the itinerary. He disclosed plans for various programs scheduled for June 20 and 21, with a special focus on West Bengal Day celebrations in Tarakeswar, Hooghly district.
The event in Tarakeswar holds historical significance due to its association with Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and his contributions to preserving the state’s cultural heritage. During the visit, PM Modi will inaugurate several developmental projects aimed at benefiting the region. Notably, the 23rd instalment of the PM-KISAN scheme will be distributed from Tarakeswar, providing support to farmers nationwide.
Additionally, the Prime Minister highlighted the launch of key Central Government initiatives related to agriculture. These include the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Agri Stack under the Digital Agriculture Mission, National Mission on Natural Farming, and Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana. These schemes are expected to have a positive impact on the hardworking farmers of West Bengal.
On June 21, PM Modi will participate in a program in Kolkata to commemorate International Yoga Day. Following this, he will attend another event where three indigenous-designed warships, namely INS Dunagiri, INS Samshodhaka, and INS Agrya, will be launched. These vessels are aimed at bolstering national security and showcasing India’s commitment to self-reliance in the defense sector.
