Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma a happy birthday, praying for his well-being and longevity. The Prime Minister’s message on social media was followed by birthday greetings from senior Union ministers and BJP leaders for the Chief Minister. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, and BJP MP Sambit Patra also conveyed their wishes for Lalduhoma’s birthday, highlighting his dedicated service to Mizoram.
The birthday wishes coincided with Lalduhoma’s focus on enhancing infrastructure and connectivity in Mizoram. Recently, he inaugurated the Faith Bridge, also known as the Lengtekai bridge, which connects Aizawl with Lengpui airport and the Mamit district. Funded by the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, the bridge, costing Rs 43.83 crore, is designed for heavy loads and aims to improve transport safety and regional connectivity in the state.
Lalduhoma, a former IPS officer, led the Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) to a significant victory in the 2023 Assembly elections and assumed office as Chief Minister on December 8, 2023.
