PM Modi Urges Academic Institutions to Enhance Industry Collaboration

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a post-Budget webinar, urged academic institutions to transform their campuses into centers of industry collaboration and research-driven learning. He emphasized the need for students to gain real-world exposure and discussed the integration of education, employment, and enterprise, particularly focusing on the AVGC sector.

PM Modi highlighted India’s shift towards an innovation-driven economy and called for brainstorming on developing campuses as hubs of industry collaboration. He stressed the importance of synergy between institutions, industry, and academia to accelerate national progress and create a solid foundation for a Developed India.

Recognizing the evolving mindset of India’s youth as a strength, the Prime Minister advocated for an education system that aligns with this spirit. He underscored the ongoing efforts to connect education with employment and enterprise, citing the New Education Policy’s role in ensuring curriculum relevance to market demands and fields like AI, automation, and the digital economy.

Expressing pride in the increasing participation of women in STEM fields, PM Modi reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing equal opportunities for daughters in futuristic technologies. He also called for a robust research ecosystem that empowers young researchers to innovate and experiment freely, emphasizing the need to create an environment conducive to exploring new ideas.
