Prime Minister Narendra Modi encouraged Bharatiya Janata Party workers in Kerala, ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections, to draw inspiration from cricketer Sanju Samson’s remarkable performance in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. Modi highlighted Samson’s ability to overcome challenges and excel under pressure, likening it to a valuable lesson in resilience. He emphasized the importance of adopting a similar spirit of determination and contribution among the party members in Kerala.

Modi urged the BJP workers to intensify their efforts at the booth level as the elections approach, stressing the significance of active participation in all election-related activities. He specifically called for an expansion of door-to-door campaigns and emphasized the crucial role these efforts would play in the party’s electoral prospects in Kerala.

Sanju Samson played a pivotal role in India’s T20 World Cup victory, showcasing exceptional performance with a total of 321 runs throughout the tournament. Despite initial scrutiny regarding his consistency, Samson delivered outstanding performances in crucial matches, including a series of match-winning innings during the knockout stages. His remarkable turnaround from the group stages to the finals earned him accolades and recognition as the ‘Player of the Tournament.’

The Prime Minister’s remarks not only commended Samson’s sporting achievements but also intertwined the cricketer’s journey with political aspirations, symbolizing perseverance and ambition in the electoral arena.
