Prime Minister Narendra Modi, breaking protocol, continued his tradition of walking down the Kartavya Path after the 77th Republic Day celebrations. He greeted attendees with the tricolor in hand, receiving cheers and ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ chants. Children excitedly tried to catch a glimpse of him, showing their patriotism.

Wearing a red tie-and-dye turban with peacock feathers, PM Modi boarded his car after interacting with the crowd. The enthusiastic attendees captured the moment with cheers and ‘Modi-Modi’ slogans as he passed by. This tradition of walking down the Kartavya Path has been ongoing since 2015.

President Droupadi Murmu oversaw the celebrations, unfurling the national flag and leading the nation in commemorating the day. European Council President Antonio Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen were present as Chief Guests. Operation Sindoor, showcasing military strength, was a highlight of the parade.

The Tri-Services tableau themed ‘Operation Sindoor: Victory Through Jointness’ symbolized the unity of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. The success of Operation Sindoor was highlighted at the Integrated Operational Centre, emphasizing inter-service coordination and local support. The operation showcased a fusion of ‘VIRASAT, VIVIDHTA AUR VIKAS’ in safeguarding the nation’s security.
