New Delhi, Aug 15 (IANS) Over the past 13 years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has delivered many great speeches from the historic venue of various lengths. His shortest address lasted just 56 minutes in 2017, while the longest came in 2025 at a record 103 minutes.

In 2026, he spoke for 75 minutes, offering a balanced reflection of his vision for India’s future.

Beginning with his debut address in 2014 that ran for 65 minutes, PM Modi introduced himself as the nation’s “Pradhan Sevak” and launched the Jan Dhan Yojana for financial inclusion.

The following year, an 88-minute speech announced the electrification of remaining villages within 1,000 days and accepted the ‘One Rank, One Pension’ demand in principle.

In 2016, his 96-minute address raised freedom fighters’ pensions by 20 per cent while focussing on anti-corruption and drive against black money.

The briefest outing came in 2017 at 56 minutes, when he set goals for a ‘Majestic India’ by 2022 and launched a website honouring Gallantry Award winners.

An 83-minute speech in 2018 unveiled the Gaganyaan manned space mission and fixed the launch date for Ayushman Bharat.

In 2019, a 92-minute address highlighted gains in sanitation, LPG connections and electrification while underscoring “assured stewardship” after his first term.

The 2020 speech of 90 minutes emphasised self-reliance amid the pandemic and outlined the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision.

An 88-minute address in 2021 centred on the vaccine drive and economic recovery. In 2022, he spoke for 74 minutes, celebrating 75 years of Independence and calling for lifestyle changes through the ‘Panch Pran’.

A 90-minute speech in 2023 highlighted national resilience and women-led development.

In 2024, PM Modi delivered a 98-minute address outlining the Viksit Bharat 2047 roadmap, announcing 75,000 new medical seats and Olympic ambitions.

The following year saw his longest-ever speech of 103 minutes, focussing on self-reliance, semiconductors and national security.

The 2026 address of 75 minutes announced AI skills training for 1 crore youth and warned against “Dimagi Naxalism.” Across these varying durations, the speeches have consistently emphasised self-reliance, youth empowerment, economic transformation and the goal of a developed India by 2047.
