Uttar Pradesh Police’s crackdown on criminals led to separate encounters in Bulandshahr and Ballia districts, resulting in the arrest of two suspects. In Bulandshahr, Faizan Qureshi, accused in the murder of Vipin, was apprehended. The victim’s body was found near a closed factory, leading to the arrest of Faizan and his associate, Zaid Saifi.
Faizan Qureshi and Zaid Saifi allegedly murdered Vipin, stuffed his body in a sack, and dumped it in a drain to hide the crime. Faizan was caught while trying to dispose of a stolen e-rickshaw, leading to a police encounter. While Zaid escaped, Faizan was arrested after sustaining bullet injuries. The police recovered the stolen e-rickshaw, a pistol, and cartridges from him.
In Ballia, another wanted criminal, Dheeraj Singh, was arrested after an encounter in the Dokti police station area. Singh, who has a reward of Rs 25,000 on his head, was injured in the leg during the police action.
