Police in Bandipora district, Jammu and Kashmir, have apprehended three individuals for possessing a significant amount of ‘Charas’ (marijuana). The arrests were made during a naka checking operation in the Hajin area, where 4.090 kg of the contraband substance was seized from the suspects.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Sayar Ahmad Malla, Mehraj Ud Din Hajam, and Aamir Tariq Ganie. Additionally, another drug peddler was caught in Sopore with a charas-like substance in his possession. Legal actions have been taken against all suspects, and investigations are ongoing to address the issue further.
The police, in their efforts to combat drug trafficking, urge the public to assist by providing any relevant information on drug-related activities to ensure a drug-free society.
