Police in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, have swiftly apprehended three suspects within a day of the murder of advocate Sanjay Kumar Saxena, a prominent lawyer practicing in the Karera tehsil civil court. Saxena was fatally shot on his way to work on Saturday afternoon. The arrested individuals, identified as Golu, Papendra, and Zaheer, are believed to have been hired as shooters in a contract killing.
Golu and Zaheer, residents of the Ghugsi area, and Papendra from Dabra, were involved in the attack. Papendra sustained a gunshot wound during a brief confrontation and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital. Initial investigations suggest that the murder was premeditated, orchestrated by a yet-to-be-captured mastermind.
The tragic incident occurred in Karera, where Saxena, aged 57, was ambushed near Anand Sagar temple while riding his motorcycle in his court attire. The legal community in the region is in shock and mourning over his untimely demise. Superintendent of Police Aman Singh Rathore has disclosed that efforts are underway to locate the alleged mastermind behind the murder, emphasizing the ongoing probe into the case.
