In a recent operation in Delwa village, Bihar, police recovered an AK-47 assault rifle, two other rifles, and a significant amount of ammunition. This crackdown, led by Superintendent of Police Abhinav Dhiman, was prompted by a tip-off. The police arrested one individual during the raid.
Addressing the media, SP Abhinav Dhiman mentioned the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) under Sub-Divisional Police Officer Gulshan Kumar. The team, comprising local police and the Special Task Force, acted on specific intelligence inputs for the successful raid. The arrested individual, Ajit Kumar (31), led to the recovery of buried weapons and camouflage uniforms.
Ajit Kumar admitted to using these weapons to intimidate contractors and extort money. Following his disclosure, the police recovered additional cartridges for the seized rifles. An FIR has been filed at Rajouli Police Station, and investigations are ongoing. The police are actively pursuing other gang members involved in similar activities in the region.
