Police in Hyderabad intervened to prevent Youth Congress activists from disrupting a protest organized by the Bharat Rashtra Samithi’s youth wing at Indira Park regarding the NEET paper leak issue. The Youth Congress criticized the BRS for allegedly feigning concern for protesting students in Delhi and questioned their previous silence on the matter. Youth Congress members were detained by the police as they gathered at MLA Quarters to march towards Indira Park.

BRSV, the student wing of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi, is conducting a large demonstration at Indira Park in support of students and youth protesting in Delhi over the NEET paper leak and demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao is expected to join the protest against the actions of the Delhi Police towards the protesters.

Despite the BRS protest, Youth Congress activists attempted to rally towards Indira Park, accusing BRS leaders of insincere sympathies towards students facing alleged police brutality in Delhi. The demonstrators chanted slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BRS leaders. Former MP and Congress leader Anjan Kumar Yadav led the Youth Congress group, questioning the legitimacy of K.T. Rama Rao’s protest actions.

Anjan Kumar Yadav alleged that the BRS, along with the BJP, had caused hardships to students during their governance, citing irregularities in intermediate examinations. He criticized the BRS for previously prohibiting protests at Dharna Chowk, Indira Park, but now utilizing the same location for their demonstration. Police denied permission for the Youth Congress rally and detained the protestors when they attempted to enter MLA Quarters.
