Police in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district have attached 10 kanals and 15 marlas of land belonging to seven individuals who are illegally living in Pakistan. The attachment was carried out as per the orders of the Special Court, Jammu. These individuals, from Tehsil Lohai Malhar in Kathua district, are involved in various criminal activities and have been absconding despite repeated notices.

Proclamations have been issued against all seven accused persons who are still evading the authorities. The attached properties include land owned by individuals like Mohd Ayaz alias Adeel Ansari, Abdul Kareem alias Bitta, Sarfraz Nawaz alias Nawaz Ahmad, Mohd Farooq alias Farooq Ahmed, Mohd Hafeez, Gul Mohd, and Akhtar Ali alias Niku. These properties, valued at crores of rupees, have been identified and attached under legal provisions.

With the assistance of the Revenue Department, the immovable properties of these accused individuals, who are currently residing in Pakistan, have been seized. The operation was conducted under the supervision of senior police officials, reflecting the commitment of Kathua Police to combat unlawful and anti-national activities in the region. The process of identifying and attaching properties of such offenders will continue in adherence to the law.

Kathua Police, under the guidance of senior officers, remains dedicated to maintaining peace, security, and the rule of law in the area.
