Police in Sopore, Jammu and Kashmir, have seized the property of a terror handler based in Pakistan as part of their crackdown on terror activities. The individual, identified as Ghulam Mohammad Bhat alias Hyder, is associated with the banned group Hizbul Mujahideen and is currently operating from Pakistan. The attached properties include land in Rohama town, valued at lakhs of rupees.
Investigations revealed that the accused had crossed over to Pakistan for arms training and is actively involved in coordinating with the Hizbul Mujahideen network. Despite being declared a proclaimed offender, he had evaded legal proceedings for a long time. The police, in collaboration with the Revenue Department, carried out the attachment process following court orders and after thorough verification.
This action is part of the ongoing efforts by Sopore Police to dismantle terror networks and take strict action against individuals involved in activities threatening national security. The police reaffirmed their commitment to combat terrorism, terror financing, and any support to terrorist organizations within the region.
