Shekhar Kapur recently shared a picture of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi on social media and mentioned his interest in casting him in the film ‘Masoom: The New Generation’. The movie aims to delve into contemporary themes like identity, family, and love while maintaining the emotional essence of the original film. It is reported to star renowned actors such as Naseeruddin Shah, Shabana Azmi, Manoj Bajpayee, Nithya Menen, and Kaveri Kapur.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, a talented left-handed batsman from Bihar, emerged as a promising young talent in Indian cricket. During IPL 2025, playing for the Rajasthan Royals, he made headlines by becoming the youngest player to score a century in IPL history, achieving this feat in just 35 balls, the fastest IPL hundred by an Indian and the second-fastest overall in the tournament’s history.
In the subsequent IPL seasons, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi continued to shine, finishing as one of the top run-scorers in IPL 2026 for the Rajasthan Royals. With an impressive tally of 776 runs at a strike rate exceeding 237, including a century and several half-centuries, he showcased his aggressive batting style and consistency.
