The wife of Assistant Commissioner of Police Chandrasekhar, Hemalatha (50), reportedly died by suicide at their residence in Saibaba Nagar colony in Alwal, near Hyderabad. She was found hanging from the ceiling fan by her son Chandrhas after she did not answer her husband’s calls. Hemalatha, who ran a jewelry and garment business from home, was declared dead upon arrival at a hospital in Kompally.
Chandrhas informed the police that his mother had been battling chronic stomach and spinal issues for an extended period. It is believed that her health problems may have contributed to her mental distress, leading to the tragic incident. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Hemalatha’s death, with the body undergoing a post-mortem examination.
In a separate incident in Rangareddy district near Hyderabad, a fatal road accident occurred when a DCM van collided with a stationary tipper-truck. The van driver, Vinod Chouhan (35), lost his life on the spot, while the cleaner sustained injuries. The police apprehended the tipper driver and filed a case against him for the accident.
