In a significant development in the investigation of the murder of Pune businessman Ketan Agarwal, the Pune Rural Police have found the clothes believed to have been worn by prime suspect Siya Goyal on the day of the crime. The clothes, taken from her residence, will undergo forensic examination to aid the ongoing investigation. Authorities state that analyzing the seized clothes may provide crucial evidence to establish the sequence of events related to the alleged murder.
A police team accompanied Siya to her home for the recovery process, which took place as part of the investigative procedures. The seized clothing is expected to be forensically analyzed to determine if it contains any evidence that could help piece together the events surrounding the murder. The Pune Rural Police are continuing their probe into what they describe as a carefully orchestrated conspiracy involving Siya and co-accused Chetan Chaudhary.
As the investigation unfolds, officials conducted a reconstruction of the crime scene at an open ground in Pune’s Lullanagar area. It is believed that this location was used by the suspects to rehearse the plan to push Ketan Agarwal off a cliff before executing the crime at Lohagad Fort. Both accused individuals allegedly admitted to practicing the act at the Lullanagar hill area before carrying out the fatal incident.
Authorities have also revealed that the suspects searched online for ways to execute the murder and visited Lohagad Fort to familiarize themselves with the surroundings. Chaudhary, one of the accused, opted to use a scooter instead of a car to avoid leaving electronic toll records and reduce the chances of being captured on CCTV cameras. The scooter used during the crime has been confiscated by the police.
