The Jammu Police announced the recovery of stolen gold valued at Rs 50 lakh in connection with a theft at a showroom in Jammu city. The theft, reported on September 20, 2025, involved gold ornaments stolen from a customer’s purse at the Game Changer showroom in Pacca Danga. Following a thorough investigation, the police identified two non-local women through CCTV footage analysis.
The suspects’ images were widely circulated through social media and various public platforms across states. Subsequent investigations and digital analysis led the police to Rajgarh district in Madhya Pradesh, where raids were conducted resulting in the recovery of the entire stolen gold jewelry. However, the accused managed to escape during the operation. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the suspect, with one police team stationed in Rajgarh and another returning to Jammu with the recovered property.
