Police in Vadodara, Gujarat, confiscated hybrid cannabis worth over Rs 86 lakh from a flat in Alkapuri following a raid by the Anti Narcotics Task Force. Acting on specific intelligence, officers raided a residence on Jetalpur Road and found 2.466 kg of the contraband along with cash and equipment. The total value of the seized items was estimated at Rs 89.69 lakh.
The accused, identified as Shahidkhan Pathan, was not present during the raid and is currently evading authorities. A case has been filed under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, and the investigation has been handed over to the Akota Police Station. This seizure is part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in Gujarat.
In recent similar operations, authorities in Ahmedabad seized narcotics worth around Rs 18 lakh, while the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence recovered methamphetamine valued at Rs 6.32 crore in a separate incident at Surat Railway Station. Enforcement actions against drug trafficking remain active in the region.
