The police in Bagdogra, North Bengal, have unraveled the mystery surrounding the headless body discovered in the Hanskhoya tea garden. They have also located the missing severed head and the weapon used in the murder. The investigation into the brutal murder of a husband has exposed a seven-year extramarital affair, leading to the arrest of five individuals, including the deceased’s wife and her lover.

Siliguri Police Commissioner Syed Waquar Raza confirmed the arrest of five suspects in connection with the murder case. The initial probe indicates that the crime was motivated by the extramarital relationship. The suspects, including the wife and her lover, were denied bail and remanded to seven-day police custody by the Siliguri Sub-district Court.

Imam, the victim, hailing from Kishanganj in Bihar and a tantric by profession, was identified as the deceased. His wife, Momina Begum, and her boyfriend, Sudip Pal, along with Sudip’s nephews and a friend, were apprehended by the authorities. Following interrogation, the severed head and the murder weapon were recovered from an abandoned location in Phansidewa, close to where the body was found.

Allegedly, Sudip Pal and Momina Begum had been involved in an extramarital affair for seven years, prompting them to conspire to eliminate Imam. Sudip enlisted his nephews and their friend in the sinister plot. The investigation suggests that Imam was brutally murdered with a sharp weapon on Monday night, with his head severed to conceal his identity, sparking shock and unrest in the region.
