Political activity surged in Bihar as Prashant Kishor, founder of the Jan Suraaj Party, submitted his nomination papers for the Bankipur Assembly by-election in Patna. Accompanied by party leaders and supporters, this marks a significant moment as Kishor enters his first direct electoral competition.

After filing his nomination, Kishor expressed optimism about the by-election’s outcome. He highlighted the positive response to the Jan Suraaj campaign, stating that voters are seeking a fresh political option. Kishor emphasized that voters in Bankipur are shifting towards governance and development-focused politics over traditional choices.

Stressing the importance of public issues over conventional practices, Kishor noted the electorate’s growing awareness and scrutiny of candidates based on their performance and agenda. Jan Suraaj’s agenda revolves around priorities like quality education, employment opportunities, improved infrastructure, and transparent governance for public welfare.

The Bankipur by-election has become a closely watched political battleground in Bihar, with key parties nominating prominent candidates. The competition is expected to be intense among contenders from the BJP, RJD, and Jan Suraaj, setting the stage for significant political challenges in the state. Kishor believes the by-election will mirror the public’s call for change and hopes for increased support for Jan Suraaj’s governance and development vision.
