The political tension in Bihar has heightened as Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav criticized Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, labeling him a “rubber-stamp” and a “selected Chief Minister.” Yadav accused the government of failing to address crucial issues like inflation, unemployment, law and order, and corruption. He alleged that Choudhary lacks a distinct ideological stance and operates under central leadership directives rather than making independent decisions.
The opposition leader claimed that the Chief Minister merely executes decisions made elsewhere and questioned the government’s policies on land allotments and administrative choices. He argued that the administration has become disconnected from the common people’s concerns, with rising inflation, unemployment, and youth challenges being significant problems in Bihar. Yadav further accused the government of using a dictatorial approach towards dissent and protecting officials involved in controversies and irregularities.
Tejashwi Yadav highlighted issues such as the Srijan scam, irregularities in estimates, CAG-related matters, and tender controversies, emphasizing the lack of accountability in various cases. He mentioned that despite raising 20 questions for the Chief Minister, satisfactory answers were not provided. The opposition leader stressed the need for the government to clarify its stance on allegations involving senior officials, stating that the people of Bihar are closely observing these developments to assess the government’s performance.
The allegations have reignited discussions on governance, corruption, employment, and administrative responsibility in Bihar, signaling an increase in political rhetoric between the opposition and the ruling coalition. As of now, there has been no immediate official response from Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary or the state government regarding the accusations made by Tejashwi Yadav.
