Amid escalating buzz around ‘Operation Tiger’ in Maharashtra, reports suggest a growing number of MPs and MLAs may be ready to leave the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena. MLC Krupal Tumane from the SS (Shinde camp) has claimed that seven out of nine SS(UBT) MPs are willing to work under Eknath Shinde’s leadership, aiming to support his policies for constituency development.
Krupal Tumane revealed that discussions are at an advanced stage with seven UBT MPs and 16 MLAs showing interest in switching sides, indicating significant discontent within the Uddhav camp. He hinted that the transition might occur sooner rather than later.
These statements by MLC Krupal Tumane come amidst speculations of a potential rift within the Uddhav camp, raising concerns about the stability of the Shiv Sena party and the shifting support dynamics between its factions in Maharashtra.
The recent claims have been challenged by some Shiv Sena MPs, including Sanjay Raut, a loyalist of Uddhav Thackeray, who dismissed rumors of ‘Operation Tiger’ and affirmed the party’s unity and strength. Voices of dissent emerged following a Sena MPs’ meeting at ‘Matoshree,’ Uddhav Thackeray’s residence, where reports suggested low attendance, fueling further uncertainties.
Bhausaheb Wakchaure, a Shiv Sena(UBT) MP, downplayed the speculations, labeling them as ongoing hearsay and emphasizing his current allegiance to SS(UBT). He expressed uncertainty about the future, adding a layer of intrigue to the evolving political landscape in Maharashtra.
