Pratika Rawal has been included in India’s team for the upcoming three-ODI series in Australia after completing her rehabilitation from injuries, as confirmed by the BCCI. The ODI series against Australia will kick off on February 24 in Brisbane, followed by matches in Hobart. India women currently lead 1-0 in the ongoing T20I leg, set to end on February 21, with Perth hosting the sole Test on March 6.
Rawal had been sidelined since October 26 due to ankle and knee injuries sustained during a Women’s World Cup match against Bangladesh. She missed the tournament’s knockout games after being ruled out. Rawal had previously received her first Test call-up for a match against Australia.
The Women’s Selection Committee announced Rawal’s addition to India’s squad for the ODI series against Australia women, part of the ongoing multi-format tour. Rawal successfully completed her rehabilitation at the BCCI Centre of Excellence (COE) and has fully recovered from her ankle injury suffered in October during the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025.
Before her injury, Rawal, a 24-year-old opening batter, had been a key performer for India in the ODI World Cup, finishing as the team’s second-highest run-scorer with 308 runs, which included a century and a half-century.
Rawal made her ODI debut in December 2024 and quickly made an impact, amassing 1110 runs in 24 innings at an average of 50.45 and a strike rate of 82.83. She has been instrumental at the top of the order, registering two centuries and seven half-centuries. Her stellar performances earned her a BCCI central contract earlier this month.
India’s updated squad for the ODI series against Australia includes players like Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, and the newly added Pratika Rawal.
