Praveen Dubey’s impressive 64 not out off 32 balls helped Bengaluru Blasters secure a thrilling three-wicket win over Hubli Tigers in the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 tournament. Despite a shaky start, the Blasters chased down 197 runs, with Dubey’s crucial innings ensuring their seventh win of the season and a top spot in the playoffs.
Bengaluru Blasters faced early trouble, falling to 59/4 during the powerplay, but Shubhang Hegde and Wahid Faizan Khan’s partnership, followed by Dubey’s explosive knock, turned the game in their favor. Dubey’s innings, featuring three fours and six sixes, sealed the victory in dramatic fashion for the Blasters.
With this win, Bengaluru Blasters solidified their position at the top of the table with 14 points from eight matches, while Hubli Tigers remained at the bottom with six points from eight outings. Earlier, Hubli Tigers posted 196/6, staging a recovery after a tough start, but were unable to defend the total against the Blasters’ resilient chase.
