Preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to Gujarat are in full swing. Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi mentioned that key arrangements and coordination plans were recently reviewed for the high-profile visit. Sanghavi, along with state Finance Minister Kanu Desai, assessed the preparations to ensure the smooth execution of the scheduled programs.

The state government and local administrations are intensifying planning for PM Modi’s visit to Surat and the Union Territory of Daman on June 5. The Prime Minister is expected to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for various major development projects during this visit. Reports indicate that PM Modi will arrive in Surat in the afternoon, visit an industrial facility in the Hazira area, and attend a public program at an indoor stadium.

PM Modi is anticipated to inaugurate and launch projects worth around Rs 18,000 crore across multiple sectors during the event in Surat. Following this, he will travel to Daman to inaugurate a new civilian airport built near the existing Indian Coast Guard airstrip. The airport, developed at an estimated cost of Rs 97 crore, aims to enhance connectivity between Daman and major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad.

Additionally, PM Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the Marwad Government Hospital near the airport and address a public gathering at Swami Vivekananda Ground in Daman. The visit will focus on infrastructure development, connectivity, and public projects across south Gujarat and Daman. Administrative and security preparations have already commenced in both Surat and Daman ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit.
